This unique and challenging activity offers a student or a group of students the opportunity to seek out interesting and educational information about the former Confederate States of America. While not exclusively about the Civil War era, each state scavenger hunt test the student's knowledge of each state. This can be utilized as a challenging individual enrichment activity for an accelerated student or an equally challenging and fun activity as a class project. The scavenger hunt questions are a blend of traditional questions along with a more difficult trivia component. Many teachers find it useful to use this scavenger hunt as a game, with the winning team of "searchers" earning some sort of reward.
