These two separate forms were developed to help students identify specific literary techniques utilized by an author.Elements of fiction include writing style, point of view, major themes, imagery and literary devices.
Literary terms include personification, alliteration, simile and metaphor.
Concepts covered in these two handouts are universal to all authors who write fiction. Note: these forms are also useful for short story and poetry units.
