Stormers Packet
8 page elementary school literature worksheet by Kirke Knowles
Stormers Packet
First 8 pages (8 pages total)
Description
These stormer activities are graphic organizers. The term is derived from "brainstorming," a process that teachers use to solicit thoughtful responses from their students. It is recommended that teachers use these stormer activities initially during group lessons demonstrating how each model can be used effectively. The stormer charts may be reproduced into larger charts, or converted into overhead projector transparencies for working with larger groups.Once the students become familiar with how information is gathered on each stormer chart, they may begin to use them independently or in small groups.
The six stormers will help students analyze literature by defining concepts, comparing and contrasting characters, events, or setting, cause and effect in plot development, sequence of events, making analogies and comparisons, and mapping story plot.
